Did your tattoo seem attractive in your 20s but not so attractive today? Or is your tattoo a permanent reminder of what was just a temporary feeling? If so, you are not alone! That change of heart, or feeling of regret, is the #1 reason why people seek tattoo removal.
Stirling Skin Care clinic has the top lasers in the industry to treat tattoos safely and effectively. We use industry leading laser systems designed and engineered for tattoo and pigment removal.
For faster, more effective removal of red, orange, green, blue, and purple tattoos, we use advanced systems including the Cutera Enlighten II (532 nm, 670 nm, 1064 nm), and PicoSure Pro by Cynosure (755 nm) to deliver superior results.
The team at Stirling Skin Care Clinic can remove most tattoos and reduce the appearance of all tattoos. The success of your laser tattoo removal depends on a variety of factors, including the tattoo’s:
Over time and with multiple treatments, most tattoos fade to the point of near invisibility. During your initial consultation, our team will examine your tattoo and discuss the projected outcome.
Tattoo removal requires multiple treatment sessions. The depth of the ink, the location of the tattoo, and its age all influence how many treatments you need.
For instance, solid black tattoos often require fewer treatments than blue ones. Homemade tattoos often take 5-7 treatments, while professional tattoos take 8-15 removal sessions.
Wait 4-12 weeks between treatment sessions to allow your skin to heal.
After each laser tattoo removal treatment, your skin requires care similar to a new tattoo. For the first 24 hours post-treatment, ice the area to reduce pain and inflammation. Elevate the area and limit its mobility.
Keep the area covered and protect it from scrapes and bumps. Avoid getting it wet and cover the area when you’re in the sun. After 24 hours, you can resume all normal activities except swimming.
Throughout your entire treatment, avoid soaking the area in swimming pools, hot tubs, or pedicure bowls. You should also avoid sun exposure and tanning beds.
Depending on the area, tattoo removal can be uncomfortable to very painful, which is why we prioritize comfort by using the Zimmer Cryo, which delivers a concentrated stream of cryogenically cooled air to significantly reduce pain during treatment. For especially sensitive areas, we enhance its effect with high-grade numbing creams, icing, and we take short breaks to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. We also offer shallow lidocaine injections administered by a registered nurse, if you desire.
Our STEP program program was created to help those who have tattoos that hinder their new lives. Please apply to our program with a letter telling your life story and include photos of your tattoo. To be considered for discounted rates, you must include a letter from a qualified professional who can validate your life change. We'd love to help you on your new journey!
